Seasonal rains and lack of storage tanks plunge the farmers of Cochabamba and Potosí into the poverty. The agriculture and the stockbreeding are not profitable and they do not allow surpassing a subsistence economy. Therefore, lots of families are forced to immigrate to the cities, and diseases related to bad nutrition are frequent. In order to solve this situation, Banc de Recursos started up in 2004 the project Atajados: Increase of the farming productivity in indigenous communities of Cochabamba and Potosí. Our objective is to install 40 metallic deposits and irrigation systems so that 160 families can improve their quality of life.
With 6.800 € we can buy a deposit and send it to Bolivia.
